How Vairi's matching works
The interview runs about 10 questions: how you handle conflict, your energy level, and what's going on in your life right now, say a recent move or a career change. Vairi reads those answers and sends one match. Not a list to scroll through. Each introduction comes with something specific to do first, a co-watch room for a film, or a shared Spotify queue, instead of an empty chat box and "hey." Vairi currently operates in London and New York.
Privacy and safety by default
You need a verified email to get matched. Vairi doesn't check photos or ID beyond that. Every message runs through an automatic filter before it sends, and three flagged messages suspend an account. Chat logs from a closed match get deleted after 90 days, and you can delete your own account and data whenever you want. More detail is on the Safety & Reporting page and in the Privacy Policy.
Reveals happen on your terms
Either person can ask to reveal names and photos, but it only happens if both agree. One person asking doesn't commit the other to anything. Vairi's members vote on new features directly, so the roadmap comes from people actually using the app rather than a closed product team. Full rules are on the Community Guidelines page.

Sociologists use "third place" for the spot that isn't home or work, where you'd run into the same people often enough that friendship happened on its own: a corner cafe, a regular pub quiz. Most cities have fewer of those than they used to. Vairi is not a dating app and it isn't LinkedIn either. How the matching actually works before you see a photo
An AI concierge asks how you handle conflict, what your week looks like, and, if you opt in, a set of OCEAN personality questions. That builds a profile of how you think and talk, not a list of hobbies. Matching weighs that against your current life chapter, whether you just moved, changed careers, or started over, and filters by region so a match is someone you could meet for coffee, not someone three time zones away.
